Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking an On-Call Supply Early Childhood Educator to support young children’s growth and development in a dynamic, centre-based environment. Responsibilities include implementing emergent curriculum, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with specialists to support well-being and development.

The role requires a valid BC ECE license, current criminal record check, standard First Aid & CPR, up-to-date immunizations, and physical ability to assist with daily routines.

Qualifications

• Valid BC ECE license.
• Current Criminal Record Check.
• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR certification.
• Up-to-date immunizations.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum
• Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Complete attendance records and health & safety checks
• Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as needed
• Support children through daily routines and classroom transitions
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
