Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Legacy, AB is seeking a dedicated childcare professional for a full-time role. You will deliver BrightPath’s curriculum, support children's development, and maintain a safe classroom environment while collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• ECE certification at Level 1, 2, or 3 or an equivalent degree/B.Ed.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum to support children's development
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children
• Assess children's abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent

Pay Range: $17.00-19.00 per hour, Government Wage Enhancement offered on top of hourly rate

What will you be doing?

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.


• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.


• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.


• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.


• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.


• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.


• Other duties as assigned.
