Job summary

BrightPath Kids Inc. is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our Mahogany, AB centre. You'll partner with teachers and families to create a supportive, home-away-from-home setting for children in our care.

Responsibilities include implementing BrightPath’s curriculum, maintaining safety, assessing child development, and collaborating with staff. Full-time and part-time options available, with a competitive benefits package including a childcare discount and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• ECE-specific communication with families and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
• Experience maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.
• First Aid/CPR knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BrightPath curriculum-aligned activities.
• Provide a safe, caring environment for children.
• Assess children's abilities and discuss progress with families.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 2 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
