Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Chestermere, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our Busy Bees community. You will work with teachers and families to create a home-like environment while implementing a BrightPath curriculum to support child development.

You will collaborate with staff, attend meetings, and contribute to a clean, organized classroom. Eligible benefits include a 40% childcare discount for full-time staff, 10% for part-time, tuition reimbursement, and a company-mmatched RRSP plan.

Qualifications

• ECE Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent is required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant CPR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a BrightPath curriculum-aligned program for children, fostering development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure classroom materials are organized and maintained.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
