BrightPath Kids in Port Coquitlam is seeking an Early Childhood Educator Assistant for casual work. You will support teachers and families to create a warm, home-away-from-home for children in our care.

Requirements include an ECA certification, first aid/CPR, health immunization, and program planning experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply; benefits include a childcare discount and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Assistant Certification is required.
• Must meet provincial requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsabilités

• Assist ECEs and ITs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will work side‑by‑side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting ECE’s and IT’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well‑being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co‑workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
