Role Description

The Early Childhood Educator is a full-time, on-site role located in Calgary, AB. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with CEFA’s curriculum, supporting children’s language, early math, creative, and social-emotional development. The educator will supervise and engage with children in classroom and play settings, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Daily responsibilities include observing and documenting children’s progress, communicating with families, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining organized, well-prepared learning spaces. The role also includes participating in team meetings, professional development, and school events to support a consistent, high-quality learning experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and proven experience Working With Children in early learning or childcare settings.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Early Childhood Development and an understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy and curriculum implementation.
• Candidates should possess Creativity Skills to design engaging, play-based learning activities that support cognitive and social-emotional growth.
• Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills to manage classroom routines, materials, documentation, and daily schedules effectively.
• Relevant qualifications such as an Early Childhood Education certificate or diploma, valid provincial certification, and first aid/CPR training are highly beneficial.
