Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Toronto, ON is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to work alongside teachers and families to provide a safe, home-like environment for children in our care. You will support RECEs, help maintain a nurturing classroom, and engage children in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Must meet provincial requirement for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE's with instruction in the classroom.

Requirements:

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
