Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Newmarket, ON is seeking a Full-Time Childcare Assistant to support RECEs in classrooms and help maintain a safe, engaging environment for children. The role involves promoting activities, teamwork with staff and families, and ongoing professional development.

The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement within a growing childcare network. Evening and weekend work are not required, aligning with a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required; Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $17.60 per hour, Government Wage Enhancement offered on top of hourly rate for Full-Time staff
