BrightPath Kids in Newmarket, Ontario seeks an Early Childhood Assistant to support teachers and families in providing a warm, home-like environment. You will assist with classroom activities, help ensure children's well-being, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging programs.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with instruction in the classroom.
• Help maintain a safe, well‑being oriented environment.
• Interact with children to encourage activity participation.
• Collaborate with co-workers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as required.
• Help keep classroom materials clean and organized.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
