Job summary

BrightPath Kids is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to work closely with teachers and families, providing a nurturing home-away-from-home for children. You will support instructors, ensure child safety, and help deliver engaging activities in a team-focused environment.

The role requires a High School diploma (ECE preference) and compliance with provincial childcare requirements, including First Aid/CPR. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification preferred.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with in-class instruction.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment.
• Engage with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as required.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RECE's with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
