Position Details

Position Summary
  • Responsible for performing equipment installations and movements, preventative maintenance, parts ordering, and service repairs on coffee/beverage dispensing equipment for a designated customer base.
  • Supervise Service Technician team and Service Partners (SP).
Essential Job Functions
  • Supervise and manage technician and SP workload and workflow, ensuring timely completion of dispatched calls within the geographical area.
  • Support system operations & approve equipment replacements.
  • Monitor and report on KPI metrics.
  • Maintain and control spare parts inventory following company guidelines for reordering.
  • Maintain company vehicle in a safe and appropriate manner, following highway safety regulations.
  • Manage consignment parts for internal techs and SP.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Ensure service activities meet all SOPs and are compliant with policies and processes.
  • Perform troubleshooting, training, repairs, programming, and preventive maintenance on coffee/beverage equipment in the field.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including service calls, food show events, installations, and removals.
  • Participate in ‘On Call’ service rotation, providing after-hours and weekend/long weekend service, carrying a company communication device.
  • Travel to customer sites, develop good customer relations, and provide assistance and training as needed.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with cross-functional teams and open communication based on Smucker's core beliefs.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of technical experience.
  • Preferred experience in electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, or refrigeration.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; background check required.
  • Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willing to participate in ‘On Call’ rotation and Food show events, with overtime if needed.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and make job-related decisions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Eager to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities.
