Role description:

Currently, our Intelligence practice is looking for a talented, skilled, and experienced Quality Engineer who will work alongside a dedicated team of Business Heads, software architects, full stack developers, back end developers, and frontend web developers.

We seek individuals with a keen interest and understanding of user requirements and a focus on delivering high-quality products using Appium Tool. You will work on products that define the cities of tomorrow, integrating hardware and software to deliver high-functioning city experiences to citizens.

This role involves a high ‘people quotient’ and offers the chance to collaborate with excellent teams in an agile environment, crafting innovative solutions and troubleshooting bugs.

We are looking for someone who goes beyond just implementing test cases and documentation, striving to deliver applications with the finest and smoothest user experiences. Role accountabilities:

1. Develop and maintain functional and non-functional test cases and artifacts such as test data, data validation, and test environments.
2. Develop test scripts based on business requirements and processes, aligned with workflows and user cases.
3. Document requirements for Regression testing, Automation Scripts, Stress Testing, Performance testing, and support end-user through the UAT process.
4. Own all aspects of QA from manual testing, functional testing, database testing, to regression testing.
5. Design and execute test plans based on technical specifications and business requirements, monitor results, collect metrics, and create reports.
6. Collaborate with Requirement Engineers, developers, and testing team members to evaluate features for each release.
7. Maintain quality assurance of all products in hand.
8. Analyze and communicate test results, track defects, and participate in daily QA activities.
9. Provide end-user training on the product as required.
10. Evaluate testing tools and continually update skills relevant to the role.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Ideally 2 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, working on complex projects and products, with experience in Appium tool.
• Strong manual testing experience.
• At least one year of automated testing experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the QA cycle and experience with various testing types, including test case creation, maintenance, and execution.
• Ability to code automated tests using tools like UFT/QTP, Katalon, Microsoft Coded UI, Ruby, Selenium, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Quality Centre.
• Experience with Agile development processes.
• Experience in creating end-user manuals for final products.
• Ability to report bugs efficiently and communicate clearly with developers.

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $70,000. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
