Job Opportunity: Survey Technician at Tatham Engineering

We are seeking a Survey Technician to work in the Geomatics group at our Collingwood office. This position involves collecting topographic survey data to document existing ground features and elevations, supporting engineering design work, and laying out design information for construction. Responsibilities include establishing on-site horizontal control, conducting benchmark level loops for vertical control, and operating total station, GPS, and LiDAR equipment for data recording and field layout. The role also involves downloading and processing survey data using ACAD or related software.

Key Position Requirements

• A diploma in Survey Engineering Technician or related program is preferred
• Relevant field experience is an asset
• Interest in learning new technology
• Comfortable working in various terrains and weather conditions
• Knowledge of GPS and survey equipment is an asset

• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Team-oriented attitude and collaborative spirit
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Understanding of relevant legislation and standards
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
