Job Description:

Parsons is hiring a Lead Senior Drainage and SWM Engineer for our expanding portfolio of large-scale, complex projects across Canada and the US, including transit and transportation infrastructure. This role involves working on diverse engineering tasks, leading teams, and ensuring technical excellence across project phases, from design to construction.

We seek versatile, enthusiastic engineers with exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills to integrate engineering, scheduling, procurement, and construction aspects of projects, possibly managing subtasks or providing technical oversight.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the drainage component of projects, including design and tendering for drainage/SWM features.
  • Develop scope, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress.
  • Coordinate with procurement, subcontractors, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in planning, directing, and supervising project execution.
  • Prepare technical reports and manage technical and contractual information.
  • Support proposals, business development, and regulatory approvals.
  • Conduct field assessments and evaluations.
  • Ensure quality control and provide support during construction.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their technical development.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering.
  • PE registration or eligibility with PEO.
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario engineering market and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and engineering software (e.g., PC-SWMM, HEC-RAS, Civil3D).
