Recreation / Community Services Director

The City of Ontario invites your interest in the position of Recreation / Community Services Director. The Recreation & Community Services Department is seeking an engaging and creative recreation professional who exhibits a passion for the community as its next Recreation / Community Services Director. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative and caring department staff with a strong commitment to high-quality service delivery, leading the department to the next level of excellence.

Annual Salary Range: $150,446.40 - $200,158.44.

Placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Physical Education, Public Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
• Experience: Seven years of progressively responsible municipal experience with five years of supervising and administering community service programs and events, including two years of extensive experience in a management capacity.
