About the team
We are the Platforms, Technology, and Services (PT&S) team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) at TELUS. Our scope includes voice, messaging, 911, and mobility core services for consumers and businesses, covering wireless and wireline technologies. We handle architecture, technology development, deployment, and service assurance.

Role overview
As the Director of the PT&S Technology Business Office, you will collaborate closely with the PT&S team and key stakeholders across the CTO. You will oversee the Anomalytics team, Customer Experience team, Planning team, and Program support team. Your focus will be on building high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and driving digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire teams, fostering curiosity, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Drive strategic planning, investment management, and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, KPIs, and oversee project portfolios to ensure timely, quality delivery.
  • Establish best practices, architectural standards, and technical roadmaps.
  • Promote continuous improvement and technological innovation.
  • Develop and present reports and narratives to senior leadership, including the CEO and Board.
  • Manage relationships across business units and external vendors.
  • Ensure operational excellence with KPIs, incident management, and SLA adherence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in senior technical leadership, with 5+ years managing large engineering teams.
  • Proven success in digital transformation and enterprise software delivery.
  • Strong strategic, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
