Job Title: Guest Service Agent / Front Desk Clerk

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 to less than 5 years

Work setting: Cruise ship, help desk

Tasks:

  1. Investigate complaints and claims
  2. Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  3. Resolve complaints and claims
  4. Process group arrivals and departures
  5. Take, cancel, and change room reservations
  6. Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  7. Provide general information about points of interest in the area
  8. Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  9. Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  10. Follow emergency and safety procedures
  11. Perform clerical duties (faxing, filing, photocopying)
  12. Answer telephone and relay calls and messages
  13. Assist clients/guests with special needs
  14. Contact customers to deliver wakeup calls
  15. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  16. Provide customer service and perform front desk duties
