Job Description

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Perform all tasks of Night Audit Guest Services Agent including but not limited to; greet, check in and settle guest accounts with an engaging and personalized approach while following all department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Audit daily operations through overnight task list
  • Responsible for providing a seamless and exceptional guest arrival and departure experience.
  • Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance Standards and Service Essentials for Guest Services Agent to ensure Guest Satisfaction Results
  • Act as an Ambassador for Fairmont Waterfront and the City of Vancouver creating memorable experiences for our guests and visitors.
  • Provide knowledgeable information regarding hotel facilities and general city information
  • Ensure loyalty members and other VIPs receive special attention and recognition
  • Perform cashiering duties as required and follow all credit and cash out procedures
  • Take ownership of all guest inquiries, comments and feedback and follows up in a ambassadorial and efficient manner while adhering to feedback procedures.
  • Adhere to standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and posture
  • Participate in daily briefings
  • Participate in department and hotel initiatives
  • Adhere to H&S policies and procedures
  • Support and participate in Colleagues Engagement Survey action plans and departmental engagement development
  • Maintains a presence on the Reception Desk and throughout the lobby with welcoming smile and demeanor.
  • Deal with all guests inquiries with efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous customer related experience an asset
  • Previous PMS experience an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Hospitality Diploma is an asset
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours
  • Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately
