Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Performing all Night Audit Guest Services Agent tasks, including greeting, checking in, and settling guest accounts with a personalized approach while following all policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Auditing daily operations through the overnight task list
  • Providing a seamless and exceptional guest arrival and departure experience
  • Adhering to Leading Quality Assurance Standards and Service Essentials for Guest Services Agents to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Acting as an ambassador for Fairmont Waterfront and Vancouver, creating memorable experiences
  • Providing knowledgeable information about hotel facilities and city attractions
  • Ensuring loyalty members and VIPs receive special attention and recognition
  • Performing cashiering duties as required, following all credit and cash-out procedures
  • Owning all guest inquiries, comments, and feedback, following up efficiently and professionally
  • Adhering to standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance, and posture
  • Participating in daily briefings and hotel initiatives
  • Supporting and participating in colleagues' engagement activities and departmental development
  • Maintaining presence at the reception desk and lobby with a welcoming demeanor
  • Handling guest inquiries efficiently
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written); second language is an asset
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset
  • Previous PMS experience is an asset
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications is an asset
  • Typing speed of 25 words per minute
  • Professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork skills
  • Hospitality diploma is an asset
  • Flexible working hours
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and effectively
