Job description

We are a growing organization currently seeking a passionate and motivated Logistics Specialist to join our winning team.

Employment Type : Full-Time

Office / Facility : Calgary, AB

Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including shipment planning, load consolidation, and the import/export process. Provide customer support for the Lineage Transportation Team.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan and coordinate multiple orders across several customers daily.
2. Set pick-up/delivery appointments based on service and schedule requirements.
3. Interface with customers to facilitate problem resolution and identify improvement opportunities.
4. Ensure carrier/customer accessorial costs are communicated in a timely manner.
5. Monitor carrier performance and recommend routing changes as needed.
6. Evaluate carrier alternatives and tender freight based on cost and service requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in shipping or transportation coordination or relevant certification.
• Thorough knowledge of shipping and transportation operations, including import and export processes.
• Experience with transportation management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
