Raise is currently hiring a Logistics and Fleet Analyst on behalf of our client, one of Canada’s most progressive Midstream companies in Canada. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job Overview
The Logistics and Fleet Analyst will oversee end-to-end shipping operations and manage our commercial vehicle fleet. This role is responsible for coordinating scheduled and urgent shipments—including cross-border logistics—while working closely with customs brokers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will identify shipping delays, support expedited deliveries, and manage freight invoicing and reporting.
In addition to logistics oversight, the role includes managing the company’s fleet program—ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate vehicle and driver records, and supporting lifecycle management and procurement of fleet assets. The Analyst will also manage relationships with third-party fleet providers and contribute to performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire shipping program, from pick-up through to delivery at site for scheduled shipments and last-minute rush requests for operations and projects. Includes coordination of cross-border shipping, customs brokers, and freight companies.
- Identify delays with delivery and support expediting during high volume periods
- Manage carrier invoices and freight bill payment process
- Review and improve shipping methods to align with best practices.
- Fleet
- Develop and maintain a commercial motor vehicle program for fleet vehicles.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of all regulatory documents as required.
- Support the business unit with equipment and vehicle purchases.
- Report on the operation performance of the fleet, such as lifecycle management and fuel consumption and identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
- Support additional internal reporting as requested.
- Ensure drivers and vehicle records are current and up to date.
- Manage monthly invoicing for fleet provider.
- Manage third-party fleet provider relationships, including quarterly and annual business meetings.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations.
- Experience managing cross-border shipping, customs clearance, and working with freight carriers.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle regulations and fleet compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with invoice reconciliation and vendor management for freight and fleet services.
- Proficiency with logistics or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) an asset
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) an asset
- Experience with fleet management software is an asset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, especially during high-volume or urgent shipping scenarios.
- Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, internal business units, and regulatory bodies.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and communication abilities.
