A leading company is seeking a Senior Change Manager to support a large-scale transformation initiative within a Department of Health program. Job Summary:
This role requires a Senior Change Manager to support a large-scale transformation initiative within a Department of Health program. The successful candidate will lead the planning and implementation of change management strategies focused on engaging healthcare providers (prescribers and clinicians). This involves developing and executing engagement plans, coordinating events, collecting feedback, and adapting strategies based on stakeholder input. The Senior Change Manager will collaborate with various teams, including HR, Communications, and clinical leadership, to ensure successful adoption of the changes. They will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work of team members as the team grows. Location: Canada, Remote
Responsibilities: - Lead the development and design of change management approaches to support prescribers and clinicians.
- Lead the planning and coordination of engagement events, including preparation of agendas, content, and translation.
- Lead the collection of change impacts relevant to prescriber and clinician audiences.
- Plan, track, and manage tasks using a program management tool (Jira).
- Work with the Change Management and Communications Lead to identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Collect feedback through prescriber and clinician networks, analyze change readiness survey results, and adapt engagement tactics accordingly.
- Oversee the day-to-day work of team members supporting prescriber and clinician engagement activities (as the team grows).
- Partner with clinical leadership (CMIOs, CNIOs) to deliver tactics building prescriber and clinician readiness.
- Collaborate with communications, engagement, and HR resources as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications: - Post-secondary education in a health-related discipline (or equivalent training and experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a senior-level change management or healthcare leadership role leading transformation initiatives impacting healthcare providers.
- 5+ years of experience managing change related to clinical documentation, clinical workflow, and/or healthcare technology (e.g., Clinical Information Systems, EHRs, or digital transformation projects) with clinical user groups.
- Availability to start work on the specified date.
- Formal training in change management methodologies (Prosci, ACMP, or equivalent).
Preferred Skills & Certifications: - 5+ years of experience leading and managing change initiatives, developing and executing effective change management strategies, communications, and engagement plans in complex environments.
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Change Management Specialist or Change Management Lead in a clinical transformation context.
- 5+ years of experience facilitating change workshops or education sessions with healthcare providers in public healthcare settings.
- 5+ years of experience demonstrating bilingualism in French and English (written and verbal).
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams), Zoom, and Jira.
Special Considerations: - The position is remote but requires travel to New Brunswick at least once a month. The candidate is responsible for travel costs to and from Fredericton if based outside of the city; in-province travel from Fredericton to other locations will be reimbursed at GNB rates.
- Vendor submission is limited to two candidates per vendor.
Scheduling: - The scheduling will likely involve flexibility to accommodate meetings and events with healthcare providers, potentially including some evening or weekend work depending on the needs of the engagement activities. Specific scheduling details will be discussed further.
