Dino Lab Inc is seeking a full-time Gift Shop Manager in Victoria, BC. The role involves managing a team, overseeing inventory, and ensuring a great shopping experience for museum visitors. The ideal candidate has retail management experience and a passion for dinosaurs.
Dino Lab Incorporated is a unique Natural History Museum located in Victoria, BC, dedicated to bringing the wonders of Paleontology to life. Our team is involved in activities such as quarry digging, fossil restoration, and fossil mounting—activities that are part of our behind-the-scenes work to preserve and showcase these incredible specimens.
Our interactive experiences are designed to educate and inspire curiosity about our planet’s prehistoric past, making every visit an exciting journey into the fascinating world of dinosaurs and fossils. Visitors can enjoy guided, hands-on tours and explore our museum exhibits, even spending a portion of the tour working on fossils themselves using our air scribe tools.
We operate a fully equipped fossil restoration laboratory, offer guided hands-on tours, and feature a large gift shop. Our team of twenty talented, diverse, and creative individuals come from a wide range of backgrounds. We pride ourselves on maintaining an exceptionally low turnover rate, which we attribute to the positive, collaborative employee culture that our team has worked diligently to cultivate and uphold.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Gift Shop Manager at Dino Lab. Responsibilities include managing a seven-person team, delivering results on time, upholding accountability, engaging in customer interactions, overseeing inventory control and management, scheduling, and budgeting. The role will involve ensuring a seamless shopping experience for visitors and maintaining a diverse selection of educational and fun merchandise in the gift shop.
Wage will be determined based on the candidate's experience and relevant skills. The position includes a full, employer-paid benefits package and three weeks of vacation per year.
