ACENET is seeking a High-Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, the incumbent will help manage and maintain our regional advanced research computing infrastructure, including HPC clusters, GPUs, storage systems, and high throughput or low-latency network architecture. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to ensure the integrity, availability, security, and performance of our research computing infrastructure.

This position is based in St. John’s, NL, and the successful candidate will be employed by Memorial University (MUN), ACENET’s lead institution.

  • Providing technical support to ACENET staff and HPC users;
  • Assisting the Manager, Infrastructure in working with external vendors for hardware procurement and support;
  • Collaborating with ACENET Research Consultants and national Digital Research Infrastructure stakeholders to ensure system alignment with national initiatives;
  • Producing and maintaining system documentation and standard operating procedures;
