Location : Remote. MUST reside near one of the following locations :

• Cleveland, OH
• Phoenix, AZ
• Louisville, KY
• Mclean, VA

Shift : Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Hours may vary depending on business needs.

Employment Logistics :

The Sr. Systems Administrator’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Sr. Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

The Must-Haves :

• BA / BS or undergraduate degree in computer science and/or 7 years of equivalent work experience
• Proven experience in overseeing the design, security, stability, and implementation of systems, applications, and related products
• Experience with systems planning, security principles, and best practices
• Extensive experience with core software applications, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows and Linux OS, MECM/SCCM, hypervisors, backup systems, and other essential systems
• Strong working knowledge of PowerShell and scripting

Your Mission in Motion :

• Collaborate with infrastructure & development teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems to support business objectives
• Review and assess impact to existing systems
• Work with executive team members and stakeholders to define business requirements and resolve system issues
• Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed systems
• Research software and system products to justify recommendations
• Negotiate with vendors and contractors for system-related products and services
• Design, install, maintain, and support technical infrastructure and hardware
• Provide top-tier support for system software and hardware
• Design, troubleshoot, and support multiple infrastructure platforms
• Perform root cause analysis and develop preventive measures
• Improve infrastructure through research and automation
• Develop automation processes for provisioning, configuration, and deployment
• Manage application and OS installation, configuration, patching, and reporting
• Design and deploy new applications and enhancements
• Evaluate and improve existing systems
• Create system design models and documentation
• Conduct server and security audits, backup, and recovery procedures
• Integrate servers and ensure system connectivity
• Maintain documentation related to system configuration and processes
• Coordinate testing and monitor system performance
• Provide orientation and training to junior staff and end users
