Job description

Role Overview

Located in Montreal, QC, the E-Commerce Specialist will lead the development, optimization, and daily management of our DTC Shopify platform. This role, reporting to the Senior VP, Country Manager, is for a results-driven digital retail strategist who can architect, scale, and continuously enhance a best-in-class customer experience.

The position requires technical knowledge of Shopify, conversion rate optimization, and digital merchandising, paired with a commercial mindset focused on driving sales, profit, and customer retention. This individual will be the central figure connecting technology, marketing, operations, and creative — ensuring that every campaign, product, and customer interaction delivers measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the storefront design, navigation, product migration, redirects, and testing
  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce U.S. team to deliver a frictionless, high-converting customer journey and optimize the Shopify platform architecture and integrating key tools
  • Ensure all technical integrations are stable, scalable, and aligned with business KPIs
  • Develop and execute digital merchandising strategies that maximize conversion, basket size, and profitability
  • Manage the online assortment, pricing, and promotions calendar in alignment with brand strategies and MAP policies
  • Analyze product performance and lead A/B testing of product layouts, content, and bundling strategies
  • Partner with the Marketing team to ensure new launches are flawlessly executed with complete assets and accurate data, while continuously improving and evolving content to strengthen SEO performance and drive sustained traffic growth, and increased conversion
  • Own all e-commerce KPIs, including but not limited to conversion rate, average order value, traffic, ROAS, return rate, and overall profitability
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and business decisions
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards, leveraging existing and emerging technologies to monitor performance and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Identify opportunities for continuous optimization
  • Ability to identify and diagnose issues across e-commerce operations by analyzing root causes, evaluating angles, and implementing data-driven solutions for sustainable improvement
  • Manage and refine site workflows
  • Ensure product data accuracy, inventory sync, and operational alignment with DC and customer service
  • Maintain process documentation and testing protocols
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reporting of sales, returns, and costs impacting contribution margin, and to forecast sales performance to achieve established targets
  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Demand Planning teams to forecast sales at the SKU level, ensuring inventory alignment, optimal availability, accurate promotional planning
  • Work closely with the Performance marketing agency to align campaigns, ensuring optimal traffic quality, ROI, and alignment with business objectives
  • Partner with freelancers and/or specialized agencies to develop and manage email flows, SMS, and pop-up strategies, while continuously optimizing affiliate partnerships for performance and conversion
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support creative development, seasonal launches, and promotional initiatives
Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing Shopify multi-brand stores, ideally in consumer goods or lifestyle categories
  • Proven track record of delivering double-digit growth through data-driven decision-making

Technical Skills

  • Shopify knowledge and related tools
  • Ability to utilize current and emerging technologies
  • Strong command of analytics tools
