Qualifications

• Valid AZ or DZ driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Experience operating a boom truck is required.
• Experience operating a stone slinger and/or concrete pump truck is a strong asset.
• Must be versatile and willing to operate a boom truck, stone slinger, or concrete pump truck as needed.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and load securement.

Vars Concrete is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and versatile Boom Truck Operator to join our team. This position involves operating a boom truck for the delivery and placement of construction materials and requires the flexibility to operate a stone slinger and concrete pump truck as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a boom truck to transport and deliver construction materials to residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
• Operate a stone slinger and concrete pump truck as required to support daily operations.
• Be versatile and willing to operate any of the three vehicles based on scheduling, customer needs, and workload.
• Perform material placement using hydraulic boom systems and specialized equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily equipment inspections.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and transported safely.
• Maintain accurate delivery, inspection, and equipment records.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and site supervisors.
• Follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor troubleshooting.
• Work safely around construction crews, overhead hazards, and changing job site conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing Vars Concrete on every delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a boom truck is required.
• Experience operating a stone slinger and/or concrete pump truck is considered a strong asset.
• Must be versatile and willing to operate a boom truck, stone slinger, or concrete pump truck as business needs require.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, load securement, and heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to read delivery tickets and follow site-specific instructions.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when required.
• Able to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
