Job summary

Vars Concrete in Ontario, Canada, seeks a reliable Boom Truck Operator to deliver and place construction materials. You'll operate a boom truck and may also run a stone slinger or concrete pump truck as needed, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries to residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

You will pre-trip and post-trip inspections, secure loads, maintain records, and communicate with dispatch and customers while upholding Ministry of Transportation regulations and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ or DZ driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
• Experience operating a boom truck is required.
• Experience operating a stone slinger and/or concrete pump truck is a strong asset.
• Must be versatile and willing to operate a boom truck, stone slinger, or concrete pump truck as business needs require.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, load securement, and heavy equipment operation.

• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and site supervisors.
• Follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor troubleshooting.
• Work safely around construction crews, overhead hazards, and changing job site conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing Vars Concrete on every delivery.
