Job summary

PagnottaInc. is seeking a Zoom Boom Operator to support fast-paced concrete high-rise projects across Western Canada. You will operate a Zoomboom under supervision, load and move materials, and assist carpenters and finishers while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Working full-time, with standard weekdays and overtime as required, you will participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and daily hazard assessments to ensure a safe, productive jobsite.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a Zoomboom in accordance with OH&S legislation and policies.
• Load/unload materials and distribute them per project plans.
• Assist craft workers and participate in daily safety talks.
• Review daily hazard assessments and attend safety meetings.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and report incidents promptly.
• Identify unsafe conditions and advise supervision accordingly.

We are currently recruiting Zoom Boom Operators to assist with fast-paced, challenging concrete high-rise projects!

Main Functions:

To work in a team environment under the direction and guidance of the Foreman or Superintendent. Operate a Zoomboom in accordance with OH & S legislation and company policies, while ensuring work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

Duties:

• Operate a Zoomboom
• Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans, specifications and directions provided.
• Provide assistance to craft workers such as carpenters, concrete finishers.
• Participating in daily tool-box talks.
• Reviewing and preparing daily Field Level Hazard Assessments.
• Participating in weekly safety meetings.
• Ensuring proper Personal Protective Equipment is used for all tasks.
• Advising supervision of unsafe conditions or acts that may be a hazard or danger to self and other workers.
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean and free of hazards.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs.
• Reporting all incidents, "near miss" incidents including damage/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents.
• Reviewing and participating in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.
• Other tasks and duties as required on the jobsite.

Working Conditions:

• Work weeks are 5 days, Monday to Friday,9 hours per day 44 hours per week regular plus overtime as required, including work on Saturdays as required by sites.
• Work day starts at 07:00am
• Two paid 15 minutes breaks and one 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break per day.
• Exposure to cold/hot weather. Appropriate dress required for weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, dust, pollution.
• Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, sharp hand tools.
• Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift between 11 and 25 kg.
