Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a driller to join its civil engineering and infrastructure team in Canada. You will coordinate drilling operations, set up and dismantle equipment, and work safely with the crew on large-scale projects.

Candidates will hold CCQ, WHMIS 201, and a valid Class 5 license, with DEP in blasting or drilling preferred. You’ll contribute to high-quality results and collaborate across shifts on site.

As a driller with Pomerleau's civil engineering & infrastructure team, you will work closely with all workers to ensure coordination of the work. Working on large-scale construction projects – ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion – you'll have the opportunity to support the skilled team and help ensure that work is carried out to specifications.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and carry out drilling operations, as well as set up, dismantle and transport drilling materials and equipment;
• Establish and determine areas to be blasted according to established plans;
• Handle equipment in compliance with safety regulations;
• Ensure proper operation of pumps;
• Inspect blasting sites before and after operations to assess conditions and results;
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting work environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and other shifts on site;
• Perform regular maintenance on blasting and drilling equipment;
• Perform all other related tasks.
