As a mechanic within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of drilling machines on construction sites. Working on large‑scale construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will have the opportunity to ensure the safety, productivity, and sustainability of drilling operations.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on drilling machines
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures
• Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Ensure replacement of defective parts and carry out necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with operators and the operations manager to optimize equipment performance
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning while complying with manufacturer requirements and standards
• Maintain an inventory of drill spare parts and consumables
• Produce an inspection certificate after repair and inspection
• Clean and lubricate equipment and perform other routine maintenance tasks
• Carry out periodic maintenance operations such as oil changes, lubrication, and tuning
• Attend training related to new technologies

This role could be for you if you have

• A valid CCQ competency certificate for heavy machinery mechanics
• Hold a DEP in construction equipment mechanics
• Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Familiarity with Epiroc (Atlas Copco) drills – an asset
