Build something that matters.

At Delta Star the work we do has a real impact. Every transformer we build helps deliver reliable electricity to homes, businesses, and communities across North America.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for people who want more than just a job. We are looking for individuals who want to learn, contribute, solve challenges, and build a meaningful career alongside a team that is committed to delivering power at all times.

Summary

Delta Star is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to support the Engineering Department. This role plays a critical part in the preparation, management, and distribution of technical documentation for both manufacturing operations and customer deliverables. The ideal candidate has experience with document control, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, updating, and distributing technical drawings and documentation related to transformer projects. You will create customer manuals by verifying technical information, assembling required documents, and ensuring compliance with Delta Star documentation standards. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure critical documentation is available to support operations and product deliveries. Through your strong organizational skills and attention to detail, you will help maintain an efficient document management process and contribute to customer satisfaction.

A Day in the Life

Your day may begin by preparing and distributing technical drawings to production teams. You might then focus on compiling a customer manual by validating technical data, gathering test certificates, and incorporating required documentation. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with engineers to obtain as-built drawings, coordinate documentation shipments alongside transformer deliveries, and provide administrative support to the team. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of documentation quality will be key to your success.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate has experience in technical documentation or administrative support within a technical or manufacturing environment. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams. You are recognized for your ability to prioritize tasks, maintain accuracy, and deliver high-quality service.

Job Requirements
  • College diploma in Office Administration, Administrative Technology, Secretarial Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience creating, editing, reviewing, or managing technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and understand English, as many technical documents, procedures, tools, and communications related to the position are available only in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with document management systems and version control processes is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and professional achievements may be considered.
Skills and Competencies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
