Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a DMI Systems Support Analyst to provide software and high-level hardware support for Diagnostic Imaging information systems and workstations under the guidance of the DMI System Administrator through daily system maintenance activities. This is a corporate position with a home base at the General Campus.

Rotation includes days, evenings and nights, including weekends, with on-call availability.

Qualifications

  • Requires Information/Business Systems or Health Care related diploma and strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in administrative software and MS Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills.

Position Information

DMI Systems Support Analyst is responsible for providing software and high-level hardware support on Diagnostic Imaging's Information systems and workstations under the guidance of the DMI System Administrator through daily system maintenance activities and support.

This is a corporate position with a home base at the General Campus.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 hour shifts. Must be available for On-Call.

Basic Requirements
  • Information/Business Systems or Health Care related diploma;
  • Minimum 4 years experience in an Information Management environment;
  • Working knowledge of medical imaging processes;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIS and other hospital systems that interrelate with Diagnostic Imaging information systems;
  • Proficiency in Administrative software such as word processing, spreadsheet and presentation;
  • Excellent Customer Service, Project Management and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
  • Above-average ability to anticipate problems and react appropriately;
  • Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information/Business Systems or Health Care;
  • Experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging environment or equivalent healthcare related field;
  • Demonstrated teaching/training experience.
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position at the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.
