Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Triage Quality Specialist to join the Ontario Workers Network (OWN) Operations Team. You will ensure quality reporting and health services for injured workers across OWN's programs, with a focus on MSK injuries.

You will provide QA support, analyze program metrics, and prepare extensive reports while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The home base for this role is the Civic Campus in Ottawa.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy as recognized by Ontario regulators.
• Registration/examination process for physiotherapy (CPO) or occupational therapy (COTO).
• Membership of Canadian Physiotherapy Association or Canadian/Ontario Occupational Therapists Association.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards set by licensing boards (CPO or COTO).
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience with WSIB Specialty Programs.
• Experience analyzing metrics, guiding program performance, and facilitating goals.
• Experience facilitating consensus building and stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience writing extensive reports (Independent Examinations, MVA Assessments, LTD Reports).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in adult rehabilitation, education, and quality management.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Position Information

The role is part of the Operations Team of the Ontario Workers Network (OWN). The Triage Quality Specialist is a key member of the OWN team that is responsible for ensuring quality reporting and operations of Hospital Partners within OWN. Providing quality reporting and health services for injured workers that are serviced through the OWN Specialized Care Program is essential to the performance of the network. This position will provide quality assurance support for OWN programming related to MSK injuries and programs. The home base for this position is the Civic Campus.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts. For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change.

Basic Requirements

• Master's degree in Physiotherapy OR Occupational Therapy recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy OR equivalent program recognized by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO);
• Successful completion of registration and examination process for physiotherapy as set by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) or College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario COTO);
• Membership of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association or of the Canadian/ Ontario Occupational Therapists Association;
• Working knowledge of regulatory standards set by licensing board (CPO) or set by the (COTO) licensing board;
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist (or equivalent);
• Minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant experience with WSIB Specialty Programs;
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing key metrics, guiding program performance outcomes and facilitating program goals;
• Demonstrated experience facilitating consensus building, resolving clinical disputes and stakeholder collaboration;
• Experience writing extensive reports (e.g.: Independent Examinations, Motor Vehicle Accident Assessment and Treatment Reports, Long Term Disability Reports);
• Moderate ability to use multiple computer systems;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office;
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills;
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team;
• Experience in adult rehabilitation, adult education, and quality management;
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).
