The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Clinical Care Leader to ensure efficient, effective day-to-day operations of a clinical unit. You will support staffing, onboarding, coaching, and performance management while promoting interprofessional collaboration for safe patient-care delivery.
You will lead and direct patient flow and bed management with an interprofessional team to ensure timely discharges, while upholding hospital policies and standards.
This position until approximately August 31, 2027.

The Clinical Care Leader is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations of a clinical unit. This is achieved by supporting the Manager, Clinical Services in the management of the unit's people resources, supervising unit staff, and providing support with hiring, onboarding, professional development, coaching, mentoring, managing performance, and the discipline of staff members when appropriate.
Daily, the Clinical Care Leader will promote interprofessional collaboration and effective decision making to ensure the safe delivery of patient-care services. In addition, this position provides leadership and direction to ensure corporate patient flow and bed management targets are achieved. They will work with an interprofessional team as required to ensure that patients have a comprehensive plan to ensure a safe and timely discharge.
