Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital, based at the Civic Campus in Ottawa, Ontario, seeks an Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist for a temporary position through around August 3, 2027, with daily 8-hour shifts including weekends. Rotation to other campuses is required.

Position Information

This is a corporate position with a home base of the Civic Campus. Rotation to other campuses will be required.

This position is temporary until approximately August 3, 2027.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, including weekends, 8 hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00)

Basic Requirements
  • Diploma from a recognized Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Program;
  • Registered with CBRET (Canadian Board of Registration of Electroneurophysiology Technologists) OR eligible for registration
  • Good knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, infection control, basic electronics and electrical safety;
  • Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Sound judgement and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Past experience or training in EEG;
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.
