Job Description

Aramark Canada is seeking a collaborative and engaging District Marketing Manager (DMM) for multiple accounts within the Greater Toronto Area. This role reports to the Director, Field Marketing and leads the implementation of marketing programs across the multiple client accounts. Some travel throughout the GTA is required, so a reliable automobile and valid driver's license are necessary.

In this role, you will be responsible for key business initiatives, including activating corporate marketing and consumer insights programs, creating and executing account marketing / growth plans, increasing base business, driving new sales and retention, creating client value, and enhancing Aramark's brand health. The DMM collaborates with Marketing & Culinary, on-site operations, and culinary teams while developing marketing skills within their district.

Job Responsibilities

Drive Business Growth

  • Visit district accounts regularly to identify opportunities for business improvements that lead to profitable growth, including recommendations on product, pricing, merchandising, and promotions.
  • Develop account marketing / growth plans, monthly campaign calendars, and social media content for district accounts.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs, promotions, consumer engagement activities, brand assets, merchandising, and social media communications.
  • Monitor KPIs such as sales, transaction counts, average checks, contribution margins, and social media engagement to measure success.
  • Create and implement marketing content across traditional, digital, and social media channels.

Support Regional Programs on Culinary, Health & Wellness, and Sustainability

  • Assist in developing and regionalizing these programs.
  • Ensure training for managers and staff to execute these initiatives.
  • Customize educational materials for consumers on health, wellness, and sustainability topics.
  • Support operations with product selection, placement, and pricing strategies aligned with H&W and local purchasing goals.
  • Monitor and enforce standards through audits and site visits.

Implement Insights Programs

  • Execute primary insights programs (e.g., Voice of the Consumer), interpret results, and develop action plans to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Define customer segments and conduct competitive analyses annually for each account.

Build Marketing Acumen

  • Train operations teams on merchandising, promotions, and pricing strategies.
  • Participate in weekly district operations calls to update on marketing program health and share tips.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, on-site operators, and staff as a marketing resource.

Support Business Development and Retention

  • Create and distribute newsletters for districts and key accounts.
  • Participate in district Client Business Reviews and strategic account retention planning.
  • Assist with RFP presentations and client retention strategies.
  • Prepare marketing materials for proposals and customize as needed.
  • Support onboarding of new accounts within the district.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality / foodservice.
  • Diploma or degree in marketing or related field (e.g., B.A., B.Comm), with interest in marketing and sustainability.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Ability to analyze data and track marketing results.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of foodservice operations and understanding of menus, recipes, and ingredients.
  • Knowledge of Atlantic Canada’s hospitality and foodservice industry is an asset.
