Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a motivated dispatcher at our Brampton office to coordinate inbound and outbound freight, ensure on-time performance, and manage daily priorities.

You will build strong relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers, negotiating rates to support profitability and service quality. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in trucking/dispatch, a background in supply chain or business, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in trucking industry and/or dispatch.
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Dedicated experience providing customer service in similar environments.
• Knowledge of transportation industry and North American geography is a plus.
• Positive attitude with good people skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating inbound and outbound freight to meet daily priorities and weekly transportation targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers to address service risks and ensure timely communication.
• Analyze lane data, on-time performance and costs to negotiate rates with customers and third-party carriers.
• Communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers to resolve pricing, service levels, delivery schedules, and documentation.
• Direct logistics activities such as obtaining shipment rates, selecting 3PL partners, tracking shipments, and resolving discrepancies.
• Verify shipping or customs documentation (PODs, BOL, carrier confirmation) and troubleshoot issues.

Available Shifts: Morning/Afternoon/Nights

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating inbound and outbound freight to meet daily priorities and weekly transportation targets while ensuring a high level of service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers to proactively address service risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely, transparent communication.
• Analyze lane data, on-time performance and costs to effectively negotiate rates with customers and third-party carriers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
• Communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers to resolve discrepancies related to pricing, service levels, delivery schedules, and documentation.
• Direct and organize logistics activities such as obtaining shipment rates, negotiating with logistics service providers, selecting 3PL partners, tracking and expediting shipments, and solving any discrepancy of quality, quantity, and schedule.
• Verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation including, but not limited to, PODs, BOL and carrier confirmation.
• Proactively communicate service risks to customers to provide proper resolution

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in trucking industry and/or dispatch experience.
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business)
• Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
• Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography are considered assets.
• Positive attitude with good people skills.
• Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.
