Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. in Brampton, ON, is seeking a seasoned dispatch professional to coordinate inbound and outbound freight, build strong carrier relationships, and ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes data analysis of lanes, rates, and service levels, plus timely communication with customers and brokers. A background in trucking or supply chain, and MS Office proficiency, are valued.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in trucking industry and/or dispatch.
  • Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business).
  • Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography is considered assets.
  • Positive attitude with good people skills.
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating inbound and outbound freight to meet daily priorities and weekly transportation targets while ensuring a high level of service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers to proactively address service risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely, transparent communication.
  • Analyze lane data, on-time performance and costs to effectively negotiate rates with customers and third-party carriers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers to resolve discrepancies related to pricing, service levels, delivery schedules, and documentation.
  • Direct and organize logistics activities such as obtaining shipment rates, negotiating with logistics service providers, selecting 3PL partners, tracking and expediting shipments, and solving any discrepancy of quality, quantity, and schedule.
  • Verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation including, but not limited to, PODs, BOL and carrier confirmation.
  • Proactively communicate service risks to customers to provide proper resolution

Available Shifts: Morning/Afternoon/Nights
