Job description

Dispatcher – Afternoons including weekends, with a prominent 3 PL in Mississauga and North York. This is a Full Time, Long term Opportunity! Amazing work environment!

Must be available to travel between Mississauga and North York locations as needed. Afternoon shifts are Friday to Tuesday with Wednesday & Thursday off.

Salary: $24/hour

What you bring to the role:

• Experience with TMW dispatch system. Prior knowledge with the PeopleNet telematics system is also required.
• Comfortable with managing upwards of 75 drivers per shift and over 300 loads as well.
• The candidate will be required to dispatch and manage drivers from one of two locations on a given day while also working in a team environment.
• Communication skills must be strong to keep in contact with drivers and customers continuously throughout the duration of the shift.
• Availability for afternoon shifts with weekends and overnight coverage required as well.
• Geographical knowledge of Ontario.
• General knowledge of tractor trailer equipment is beneficial. This includes the basic workings of tractors and trailers, the difference between certain types of trailer equipment (Dry vans / Reefers) and equipment doors.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications is required including Word, Excel and Outlook & Web Portal systems; AS400 is an asset
