Job summary

Standard Bus Contracting in Terrace is seeking a part-time Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will handle driver communications, scheduling, and routing to ensure efficient service. A split shift is required, with hours 7:00 am – 10:00 am and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

You will coordinate with drivers and fleet units, provide professional phone support, and perform administrative duties to support safe, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills including time management, multitasking, and remaining calm in a hectic work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the transportation industry is an asset.
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook and confidence in using database systems.
• Must have previous experience in administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactful and professional phone assistance
• Plan, organize and respond to route, fleet, and operator issues and advise on company safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate the activities of drivers, supervisors, and fleet units using a variety of computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
• Work independently to resolve customer/passenger issues in a professional and friendly manner
• Administrative duties as required (payroll, filing, and reports)
