Job summary

Caron Transportation Systems in Edmonton is seeking a Dispatcher to manage drivers and equipment to meet customer needs on a 7:00am–7:00pm 8-on 6-off rotation.

You will report to the Terminal Manager and ensure efficient dispatching, compliance with Federal Hours of Service, and strong customer relations. Proficiency with MS Office and safety-minded approach required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly related experience in bulk commodities transportation.
• Polite and professional attitude.
• High regard for safety.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Analytical with an investigative mind.
• Experience with incident reporting.
• Experience working with Samsara, AXON and/or Stellar.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and equipment to meet customer needs.
• Follow and understand Federal Hours of Service.
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Be on call weekly, with a premium paid (sharing on-call responsibilities with terminal support).
• Enter reporting details in Samsara, AXON or Stellar.
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards.
• Participate in safety related compliance, regulatory programs and education.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

We are currently recruiting a Dispatcher for your Edmonton terminal, to work 7:00am to 7:00pm on an 8 on 6 off rotation.

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the position is responsible for dispatching drivers and equipment in an efficient and economical way while meeting our customer needs through superior customer service.
