T-Lane Transportation, based in Edmonton, AB, is seeking an experienced Dispatcher with Ocean Container expertise to join our growing team. You will manage dispatch from order entry to POD, coordinating with drivers and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a dispatcher in transportation.
• Experience scheduling trucks for live orders and projects.
• Ocean container dispatch experience required.
• Proficiency with TMW and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders into TMW and build manifests.
• Dispatch drivers and follow up until POD is in the system and ready for billing.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers and customers throughout dispatch.
• Preplan freight for return trips and manage deliveries.

Job Responsibilities

As the dispatcher, you are responsible from the beginning of the process to the end. Entering the orders into TMW and building a manifest, dispatching the driver, following up until the POD is in the system and the order is ready for billing. To do this you are in constant communication with drivers as well as our customers. You will be responsible for dispatching deliveries, preplanning freight for return trips.

Qualifications:

• Experience as aDispatcherin the transportation field with 3 years minimum experience required
• Experience in scheduling trucks for live orders and projects
• Experience and knowledge of Canadianshipping regulations and practices.
• Ocean Container dispatch experienceis required for this role
• This position requires an individual who is adaptable; self-motivated, results driven and a team player.
• Successful with building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• An expert at multi-tasking and effectively managing changing priorities.
• High level of detail in performing tasks.
• Proactive, able to identify early on any potential issues, and to implement solutions.
• Experienced with TMWand Microsoft Office is required
