Job summary

Based in Edmonton, T-Lane Transportation, part of the TF Energy Solutions Group, is seeking a transportation project specialist to manage quotes through delivery. You will work with customers, operations, dispatch, drivers, and carriers to move freight safely, efficiently, and on schedule across Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities include preparing quotations, pricing freight, selecting equipment, coordinating various freight modes, and ensuring billing readiness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight pricing, or project freight.
  • Experience preparing transportation quotations and pricing freight movements throughout Canada and the United States.
  • Experience pricing specialized and over-dimensional freight, including configurations up to 13 axles.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. permit requirements, routing restrictions, and specialized freight requirements.
  • Experience selecting appropriate equipment based on freight dimensions, weights, routes, and customer requirements, including flat deck, step deck, LTL, and specialized equipment.
  • Strong understanding of transportation costs, carrier rates, lane pricing, and margins.
  • Ability to manage transportation projects from initial quotation through delivery and billing readiness.

  • Analyze freight dimensions, weights, and customer requirements to determine appropriate equipment and pricing.
  • Coordinate flat deck, step deck, specialized freight, LTL, and project-based transportation solutions.
  • Manage transportation projects from quote acceptance through delivery completion.
  • Coordinate freight movements and communicate directly with customers, drivers, operations, and carriers.
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve service or operational issues.
  • Ensure all freight documentation, time sheets, PODs, permits, and shipment details are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with load planning, scheduling, routing, and customer updates.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, transportation regulations, and company procedures.
  • Support billing readiness by ensuring all operational documentation is complete and accurate.

Scope:

Responsible for managing transportation projects and customer freight requirements from initial quote through to final delivery and billing readiness.This position requires a strong understanding of freight pricing, equipment selection, route planning, and project execution across Canada and the United States. You will work closely with customers, operations, dispatch, drivers, and carriers to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule, whether it be Ocean Air or Road solutions provided. This role is based in Edmonton, AB.

What you bring:
