Job summary

Ruth & Naomi's Mission in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Part-Time Dishwasher to join our Food Services team. The role supports daily meal service by keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and by handling dishes and supplies efficiently.

We value dependability, teamwork, and a compassionate approach as we serve individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty. Previous experience is not required, but FoodSafe certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep dishwashing stations, kitchen surfaces, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
• Sweep, mop, and assist with garbage, recycling, and compost disposal.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with basic kitchen tasks and organizing supplies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and volunteers to support daily meal service.

Ruth & Naomi's Mission is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and positive individual to join our Food Services team as a Part-Time Dishwasher at our Community Outreach Centre!

Our Food Services team plays an important role in ensuring hundreds of meals are prepared and served each day to individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, and other challenging circumstances. As a Dishwasher, you'll help keep our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly so our team can continue serving our community with care and dignity.

What You'll Do
