Job summary

City of Brampton is seeking a Coordinator, Disability Management to support the Disability Management Team. The role coordinates WSIB, STD and LTD claims from creation to closure and assists with educating managers and employees on workers' compensation and disability processes.

The position requires a post-secondary degree in a related field and at least two years of disability claims experience in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in HR, Occupational Health, nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate WSIB, STD and LTD disability claims from creation to closure.
• Maintain records of WSIB claim files from creation to closure.
• Review WSIB cost statements to ensure proper costs are levied.
• Coordinate return-to-work and medical accommodations meetings with employees.
• Assist in education of managers and staff on workers' compensation processes.

Education
