Job summary

The Disability Management Institute is seeking a qualified Claims Management Specialist for our Western Regional Office in Port Coquitlam, BC. The role focuses on adjudicating claims, coordinating with employers, employees and WSBC, and ensuring accurate data entry and timely communications.

Completion of college diploma or bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of claims management experience.
Experience in disability management or health sciences is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
Familiarity with WSBC processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Collect information for Form 7 for medical aid and lost time injuries and submit to WSBC on behalf of employers.
Communicate with employees, employers and WSBC via phone, email and letters to gather information and provide support.
Assess claim progression and implement gradual return-to-work plans where appropriate.
Monitor return-to-work plans, ensure progression, hours worked, and payments, and inform WSBC of updates.
Review WSBC correspondence to verify adjudication and correct claim costs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
