Job summary

Health Sciences North seeks an experienced Disability Management Specialist to ensure WSIB compliance and minimize lost time from work-related injuries. You will support attendance, coordinate complex return-to-work plans, and collaborate with third-party providers to implement accommodations and appropriate job modifications.

The role requires knowledge of WSIA/OHRC, two years of relevant experience, and professional certifications in disability management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Disability Management or related field.
• Certification in disability management preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in disability management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on best practices for work-related injuries and attendance support.
• Coordinate return-to-work plans with third-party disability care providers.
• Ensure reporting to WSIB and compliance with WSIA/OHRC.
• Identify suitable job modifications or accommodations for employees.
• Provide guidance on payroll coding and compensation methods.
• Develop and deliver training on disability management policies.
