Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Director of Strategy to join the Workplace Benefits and Retirement division. This role will support enterprise planning, drive growth, and align initiatives across functions to strengthen market position.

You will report to the AVP, Strategy, and lead high-impact projects, develop compelling materials for senior stakeholders, and foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture within the WBR division.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through execution.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with data-to-action translation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives across Canada Life’s WBR business.
• Develop and deliver presentations and business cases for growth.
• Shape strategic direction and implement go-to-market strategies.
• Conduct market assessments and competitive analysis to inform decisions.
• Partner with senior leaders to design and execute initiatives.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and share best practices.
