Almita Piling is searching for an experienced and inspiring Director of Operations to lead our facility in Ponoka, AB.

As the Director of Operations, you’ll be the driving force behind a high-performing facility. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, and champion a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability. You won’t just run the facility, you’ll transform it.

What You’ll Be Driving:

Strategic Leadership & Execution

• Align operational strategies with company-wide objectives
• Oversee the daily operations of the Facility.
• Lead the rollout of our Equipment Rental & Sales division, from business plan to full operation

People & Culture

• Foster a high-performance culture which reinforces in Almita’s core values – Safety is Paramount, Care and Pursue Excellence
• Provide coaching to drive employee performance and accountability
• Support succession planning and leadership growth

Safety & Compliance

• Champion Almita’s safety is paramount culture
• Ensure compliance with all HSEQ and industry regulations
• Support investigations and implement preventative/correction actions.

Operational Excellence

• Use KPIs and lean methods to boost productivity and reduce costs
• Manage operational and capital budgets
• Monitor expenditures and drive cost-efficiency initiatives
• Collaborate across departments to support customer satisfaction and growth targets

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of progressive leadership, ideally in a manufacturing environment but will consider construction or heavy construction
• Degree or diploma in Operations Management , Business Management, or equivalent experience
• Proven track record in budgeting, team leadership, and business growth
• A mind for metrics and continuous improvement
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems and ISO/Quality standards
• Knowledge of fabrication, field operations, and facility maintenance is a strong asset

• Split time between office, shop floor, and yard
